this was really sad and well made

This game is AMAZING!!! It hits so close to home as someone who is dealing with chronic pain. I love this game so much, everyone should play this <33

bth this sounds like deppesion, major at that, i have the same issue(s) but worse and i have crippling deppresion

In short no, It's not depression because you can see she really wanted to go to school and be with her friends.  She might have developed depression because of her untreated narcolepsy, but I don't see much pointing in that direction.

Wow,this is beautiful..yet..hits close to home..

It's hard to believe that people go through this, even though I know what it's like personally..

This game is sooo good I´m crying rn. The main character has a place in my heart by now. It really means much to me, thank u <3

(+3)

Beautiful, I'm glad she has a diagnosis and can be and do better, I LOVED THE LAST PHOTO, so sweet, and cute both strong girls

Very cute and sad game. I'm glad I ended up getting a good ending for it.

(spoilers)

I was thinking of depression before the reveal at the end because it also has similar tiredness and nonexisting motivation to do anything than stay in bed. Like I said I'm glad to get a happy ending where Rae had still good relationships with her mother and her friend. ♥

Same...🖤

same, and when she realized the only person who actually believed in her story the whole journey was her own mother, broke my heart at the same time reminding us mothers always know when sosmethings wrong with their own children. </3

It really was though 💕

As someone who is still in the middle of finding a diagnosis for my illness, and came close to giving up many, many times, thank you!

Hiya! I'm a game dev and also a neurologist, when I saw Rae's case I guessed [spoiler] and it turns out she is having it. I am really glad that you made this game and show people about unknown diseases, and how some medical professional just look down on something like this. It's a great insight for me as a physician and for others that you shouldn't dismiss any kinds of concern about your health. 5/5 stars!

thank you so much for this game!! i got really sick at 15, and can relate so much to all the doctors visits and lab tests and worthless doctors. it was awful trying to be a high schooler while being in so much pain all the time. i was super sick for a year before i found a surgeon willing to operate on a hunch. turns out my gallbladder had stopped working. took years to fully recover, but ive been doing great! this game really brought me back to that time. had a great time playing, sending much love! <3

Thank you so much for making this game and sharing it. This was an almost identical experience to what I had when I was 12 with IH (now DX with N1). Playing this game helped my partner further understand what I dealt with when I was younger, and it also helps them see what I'm currently dealing with. This was so amazing, I loved the art and music so much!

Thank you for sharing your story.

im chroically ill and  also hae ve narcokepsey this rlly jhtis a lot for me tysm 4 making this game

(+6)

This really hit home for me, especially how difficult it is to maintain friendships while being ill. Man. went through the same process with my mom. Thank you for making and sharing this.

(+3)

Great game, I played it on my phone first and immediately went to see if KJAM had made any other brilliant works. After discovering they haven't I decided to see what happens if I don't search for answers. That ending hits hard, but no where near as hard as the part where you find out it's not a tumor!

(+8)

as a person with a chronic illness, I personally related to this so much. the frustration of visiting so many specialists and ending up with negatives is somthing i would wish upon no one.

(+3)

sobs i love this game so much

(+2)

literally ouch

(+3)

she looks like marcy from amphibia (best Disney channel show)

(+1)

i thought that too, they look so similar

(+1)

WHAT THAT LOOKS LIKE MY MUM

(+5)

I have chrons disease and my parents thought I was fine for ages until I begged them for help. damn this hit home

(+5)

I'm struggling with ME/CFS and a lot of things are similar. I did the sleep test too, but it came out normal, so it was not a sleeping disorder in my case. I'm glad this game exists, there are illnesses that are not understood even by the doctors, they aren't seen on the body or in the test results, so a game like this helps to spread awareness and empathy

I'm currently experiencing this and have been since I was nine, I'm now 16. Thankfully we got some answers but we're still getting more. I have an autoimmune disease and I'm getting worse. I can't go to school anymore, walk anymore. I can only exist. I haven't even stepped foot in a high school.

(+2)(-1)

i cried so many times-

(+5)

Experienced the same bs with doctors at 11. So glad to see this

it look like marsee wu

(+9)

coming back to this game with a bunch of months of medical testing I'm even more grateful this exists. I still don't know what's going on with me and most of my family just kind of gave up. I'm still pushing to find a solution or even just an explanation but most doctors don't actually care enough to try to find the root of the problem and just fkn look for the "most obvious solution" that doesn't help at all! Some people even believe I made it all up and ask me if it's gone now, like it's just gonna dissapear or I'll get tired of faking. Just, thank you. Thank you for making a game that feels so relatable now. Thank you for showing the kinds of stuff a lot of people have to go through.

(+3)

Gawd damn. Marcy Wu's back story.

I knew someone would say that

(+4)

This was relatable on a level that's so- deep, in a way. The constant testing, doctors, the misdiagnoses from everyone. It makes you feel so awful + the meds they put you on. I love this game for how well I can understand it. Thank you.
